Samantha Masters grew up in Sacramento, California and attended California State University, San Francisco for her undergraduate studies. In 2018, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in History. While completing her undergraduate studies, she was an active member of the Delta Pi Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta, where she held several leadership positions including Chapter President. During her last semester of college, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Gail Dekreon at the San Francisco Superior Court.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Masters worked for two years as a law clerk at a workers’ compensation defense firm. Ms. Masters worked closely with the managing partner and developed strong legal research and writing skills.
Ms. Masters earned her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, School of Law in May 2023. As a first-generation student, Ms. Masters sought opportunities to support other students by making academic and professional resources more accessible. As such, she became an Academic Success Fellow, where she served as a peer advisor for underclassmen and a speaker at First Generation Orientation. Ms. Masters was also a board member of the Women and Law Organization and Family Law Society.
During law school, Ms. Masters endeavored to gain valuable experience in family law by externing for the Unified Family Court in San Francisco County and working as a law clerk for a prominent local family law firm. Ms. Masters approaches each case with empathy and a strong intuition. Ms. Masters has experience in complex financial issues, high asset litigation, domestic violence, child custody and visitation.
In her free time, Ms. Masters enjoys spending time with her family and friends, visiting local coffee shops, and completing puzzles.
